Puebla

We traveled south by bus to this beautiful colonial city and this is a photo of the interieur courtyard of our hotel.  Many hotels have these courtyards and galleries almost like in Italy.  Here in Puebla was fought a battle on the 5 of May that is called cinco de mayo when the Mexicans defeated the second french empire.

This Virgin of the Immaculate Conception weights a ton.  It is inside the Catherdral in the center of town on the main plaza called "Zocalo".
The tiled facades are typical of the architectural style and the colors of the houses are pastels.  This place is known for its Mole Poblano.
